Victor Robinette, CPA, CFP is principal and owner of our firm.
Vic is well qualified to meet his clients’ financial needs. He graduated from U.C. Berkeley in 1967 with a B.A. in Economics and spent his early professional years in hospital finance. In this capacity Vic was Manager of Financial Services at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, Controller of Monterey Park Hospital and Assistant Director of Finance at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. In the early 1980′s Vic took the C.P.A. exam, passing it at the first sitting. In 1987 Vic established his own firm. He has continued to build on his professional knowledge and qualifications and has Incorporated many technological updates and innovations to benefit our clients. Clients are now able to access their tax returns and other financial information on secure portals via the web. Vic maintains an active membership in the California CPA Society. He is a Certified Financial Planner with Raymond James Financial Services.
Dedication to community forms the cornerstone of Vic’s philosophy of conducting business. Just as he is committed to working in partnership with his clients to strengthen and improve their financial position, Vic is also committed to working side by side with his clients and neighbors to support the communities in which we all live and work. Victor has a long history of service beginning with his work as a Peace Corps Volunteer. In 2001 Vic and his wife, Gretchen, completed the Honolulu Marathon and raised nearly $9,000 for AIDS Project L.A. Vic is well known in his home town of South Pasadena for his service to the community. As a long-time resident of South Pasadena and a graduate of South Pasadena High School, Vic has chosen to give many hours of his time to the town that nurtured him as a he was growing up. Vic is the elected City Treasurer of South Pasadena and has been designated a Certified Municipal Treasurer. In 2004 Vic was appointed to the city’s Budget Review Committee where he served as Chair. This committee was charged with the responsibility of working with the city council, city staff and the citizens of South Pasadena to give advice and guidance on the budget challenges that have arisen because of the fiscal crisis in the state of California. Vic also serves as Treasurer on the Board of the South Pasadena Preservation Foundation – a non-profit community organization dedicated to protecting and preserving the unique historic character of South Pasadena. Additionally, Vic is a member of the Ambassador Committee for the South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce.

Gretchen Robinette, Office Manager
Gretchen graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a B.A. in English and spent 30 years as a teacher and librarian. In June of 2002 Gretchen took an early retirement in order to join our firm. Her primary responsibilities are client communication and oversight of day to day office functions. She is responsible for all matters that relate to client communication and relations. Gretchen shares Vic’s commitment to community and serves as a board member for South Pasadena Beautiful and of South Pasadena Preservation Foundation and is a member of the Ambassador Committee for the South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and serves as Chair of the South Pasadena Chamber’s Legislative Affairs Committee.She received the Chamber Ambassador of the Year Award for 2009. She helped her neighborhood form South Pasadena’s first residential historic district and is active in Holy Family Church.
